I love this story, Justin, because we see that Darrius was a good person, as evidenced by his decision to head home to surprise his little sister. And we have to believe, goodness doesn't die; it continues to shine long after we are gone. At least this is what I like to believe. Maybe Ben's hearing Darrius' voice is an omen that goodness will follow Lily and Ben as they chart their course together.
I often wonder at the connections that we do, and don't, make.
Same here. And I often wonder about life/death, and how the two are interconnected.
Thank you very much for reading! 🙏
So lovely how you wove the lives of these three people together. You have such a sensitive heart, Justin, and it shows in everything you write.
That’s a compliment I will hold on to for a very long time. Thank you for your kindness, Sharron, and for reading my story!
"They eventually spray-paint it when they both realize they want something more permanent."
Love this line. It says a lot. 💜
Thank you, my friend! 🙏
A touching story of intermingled spirits. I did not expect the ending. Well done, Justin.
I really appreciate it, K.C. Thanks so much for reading!

That’s what I like to think too, Andrea. Thank you, as always, for reading—and thanks for your insightful and kind words!
There's a touch of nostalgia and connection beyond understanding--which is lovely!
Thanks so much, Jill. I appreciate you reading my story! 🙏
