"Why, now did they reveal themselves?" That line of the story really stuck out to me! When I was little I lived on 5 acres of land and one of my favorite things to do was search for 'artifacts'. This included things like old nails and scraps of fabric, and one time an old, disgusting bone. It's fun to look back now and wonder how long those little treasures sat there before I stumbled upon them. Thanks for a wonderful story and for bringing back some good memories!
Nicely done, Justin. That is life.
Thanks, Mark!
Good story, Justin, really tugs at the heart. He's lost Bandit, and had lost his dad. So much for him to ponder as he looks at those arrowheads!
(And, our Best. Dog. Ever. died of old age in 2020. Still miss her.)
Thanks, Jenise. I know the feeling! They are forever a part of us.
“It’s all a balancing act, this world – this life. ❤
Thank you for reading, Tiffany! 🙏

I’m happy this story brought you back, Claire. It sounds like we had a similar upbringing. Thanks so much for reading and sharing! 😀
