...the dusty game of kick ball ... the red ball ... the little fingers clinging to the chain link fence... Thanks for bringing out some old (VERY OLD) memories. Lovely!
Mr. Watermelon sounds like the kind of guy every town should have. I like to think he attended Blue Skies as a kid and is paying it forward 😁 Two great stories!
Thank you! We may have to go through a few more sleepless nights trying to figure out all the details, but I’m sure we will come up with a plan in the end! I will pray on it for sure! 🙏🙏
Two wonderful stories, but yours made me tear up, Justin. Great job, as usual! I’m sitting on a screened-in porch, in a small East Texas town named Zavalla, trying to figure out what these men across the way are doing to their fishing cabin, reading your stories and enjoying the peace and quiet of the almost empty fishing camp. We rented this tiny cabin in the woods (actually our 2nd visit to this Airbnb) waiting to go look at a couple of lake houses and hoping one is going to be our new home base.

I’m happy this story brought back memories. Thank you so much for reading, Sharron!

Thank you, Brian. I agree!
And thanks to Jim for allowing me to share some of his work!
Sometimes a Mr. Watermelon is exactly what a kid like Caleb needs. Jim’s story is nice, too.
Couldn’t agree more with you on both accounts! Thanks so much for reading, Patty.

A great summer story!
Thank you, Jason!
