This story reminded me of the new Taylor Swift song with the lyric, “You’re on your own, kid. You always have been.” The truth is even those of us that have always been on our own have also had people like Milo at key moments. Another memorable story!
I loved this one, Justin. For some reason, Jimmy reminded me of one of our old students... not an old soul, but certainly a quirky one... EC. This story is very atmospheric, too. I can almost feel Jimmy walking home with his record player.

The details in this story! Big Red and weed in particular.
Grateful for all of the Milos that come into my life!
Great story. 🙌🏼
The other EC would not be that interested in a record player, is my guess. By the way, heard that GP is working in Red Hook!!!!
EC with the long hair! LOL. I forgot we had two students with these initials. Definitely not the other one!
This was lovely, Justin! I have a feeling Jimmy will be acquiring some pretty special records in the near future.
What a great story, Justin. I loved the characters. It is the people in our life that make it special and you captured that.
Very nice and atmospheric story, Justin! I’m certain Milo will give Jimmy some vinyls to play at home. 😁
I love stories about music and the places that keep music alive.
