Snow days were rare when I grew up in Michigan. They just plowed the main roads and we walked up to the corner to catch the bus. In elementary school I walked to school no matter what the weather. But those special days when they cancelled school were the best!

They really were the best! My district growing up rarely had snow days, too. (Upstate NY.) I remember going off the road in our school bus multiple times from snow. One time a couple of local farmers pulled us out with their tractor! 🤣

Yup. It's not just the kids who look forward to a day off!

I went to school in New York City and never had a snow day.

Bummer! (Not about NYC - about no snow days!) Though I imagine you never knew any differently.
