Thank you for always reading! 💜

Sometimes these stories become a witch’s brew...I throw a bunch of random stuff in a cauldron (memories, ideas) and stir it all up! 😄

Thank you, Sharron! That means a lot to me. These days I often run with the first idea that comes to mind and don’t look back!

Really neat story, Justin! And well told. Was this something you experienced? I've never seen an apparition but I've had goosebumps from things I didn't see. Also had a friend die from injury in high school football. This was very soon after I realized that my fellow footballers had considerable more mass than I did. Had my bell rung a couple of times - I decided to stay with baseball and running.

Thank you, James! There are slivers of truths embedded in the story. I played football all the way through college and coached high school football for 4-5 years while teaching. Those days are over. One night after an away game, one of my players asked to go back into the building for a moment...he forgot his phone or something. I bumped into one of the custodians near the locker room and he seemed off, not his usual chatty self. After my player left, the custodian told me he just saw a kid running back and forth in the locker room. (His first language was Spanish.) I asked him...what do you mean, a kid? One of the football players? And he just looked at me and said, “A spirit. A ghost.” I ended up doing some research and asking around. Sure enough, a high schooler had passed away in the locker room back in the seventies (if I remember correctly).

Also, I’m terribly sorry to hear about your friend.

Oh, yeah. That will give you something to think about at night. Thanks for "the rest of the story".
