I'm willing to bet I've lost more bets and probably won more than all your readers combined.
Missing Links by Rick Reilly is an absolutely fantastic book about a bet between friends. A little knowledge of golf increases one's enjoyment of the book but it's not absolutely necessary. It's 20-1 that you will love it.
That sounds like an enjoyable read. I’m going to add it to my TBR pile. I’ve been playing golf since I was seven or eight, but I don’t know if I’ve gotten any better, haha. Looking forward to the book!
That fact that this started with a stiff-armed shove to the ground was wonderful! Makes me excited for football season 😂 I don't play with the gambling gods, too dangerous. I would also like to put a plug in for Liz and Mikey's happy future together. They're perfect for each other.
Haha, I got a kick out of that while writing, too. Liz must be some type of athlete! And yes - I see a future romance brewing between them! 🤣 Thanks for reading!
Eight years later, Liz and Pete got married. 🤣
Haha, I had the same thought, Mark! 🤣
Yes!
I recently lost a 30 minute Uno game. I wouldn’t consider myself to be super competitive, but after 10 minutes, the Uno claws come out.
A thirty minute Uno game?! I bet the claws did come out, ha. That must be equivalent to a three hour game of Monopoly!
Nothing is more deadly than a long game of Monopoly!
Play you Scrabble for a dime a point any time you're in Detroit
Now that sounds like a fun time.
We'll play a round upon my A-R-R-I-V-A-L.
Excellent. Bring friends. The MHO the merrier.
This is the exact reason why I don't gamble - the casino doesn't let you keep your $10 when you lose the bet 😂
Haha exactly! At least Liz had a heart. 😄
“Just do yourself a favor and stop running your mouth, okay?”
Sometimes that's the best reward.
Yes! Too true.

I’m willing to bet you’re right on that one. 😄

You'll love it. I know it. Master Class in plotting too.
*slides book closer to top of pile*

Thanks for the fun recess break, Justin!
You bet! Thanks for reading, Jenise!
Go Liz! She will probably take him to the Senior Prom and afterward show him who's boss in the back seat of his Ford. Best night of his life.
Hahaha, spot on, Sharron! I can see that happening without a doubt.
