This story was...monumental! Truly enjoyable right down to the Red Sox ball cap, and, naturally, Irish pub.

I capture ideas, impressions, story notes, microessays, poems and personal digressions (short or long) in a handwritten journal, a tiny “field notes” journal that lives in my knapsack, and/or the Evernote app on my phone. Eclectic juxtaposition

Another great one! I keep story notes both electronically and on various sticky notes and scraps of paper that are starting to take over my windowsill.

I’m currently obsessed with stories about time and I loved this! I have a note on my phone called Poetry Boneyard where I write scraps and lines to use later. I also keep a modified bullet journal where I write poems and ideas. I used to do Julia Cameron’s The Artist Way style journals for a long time but found that practice hindered my creativity instead of helping it.

Geeez! You put me right there in the middle of the crosswalk, frozen in place while licking mustard off of a pretzel. Great visuals -- I could see it clear as any movie. Nice writing, Mr Deming.

This was excellent! I could see it as the prologue to a novel.

I keep notes for writing electronically these days, but all my game designs have always been worked out on paper first.

This was a great story. I've thought about keeping a journal for story ideas, but I suppose I don't go out enough to make use of it. If I think of something I type it into a document on the computer as a placeholder. That probably means I need to get out more!

I love this one, Justin. It reminds me of the scene in the original "West Side Story" when Tony and Maria meet!!! Everything stops still at the dance and it seems as though they are the only two people in the room.

Loved this story, Justin! Yes, I have a journal but don’t write in it daily, and I do sometimes put a not, or a poem or storyline on my iPhone in the notes section so I don’t forget it! Very handy for those middle of the night ideas!
