I just realized you post twice a week. I was thinking there is no way a whole week has gone by already. I'm curious, do you write both stories mostly on weekends?
I’ve been posting twice weekly for a while now. Sometimes I wonder if it’s too frequent. What are your thoughts? My original thinking was that I mainly write shorter stuff, so maybe I could get away with it. I write at night after my kids are asleep. Sometimes the early morning, too, but that’s not as common. I honestly don’t have a set day when I write, but it’s usually at least 3x weekly.
Thanks for sharing! Given the length of your stories, mostly flash fiction, I think twice a week is perfectly fine. I subscribe to two Substacks that send short fiction daily so it just depends on what you can commit to I guess. For me personally, I feel I can get something of quality once a week and it's usually around 1500-2000 words. This Wednesday is a little shorter because I wanted to spend time to do the audio narration as well 😁
Of course! Thank you so much for the feedback. I like hearing what others do and what other processes look like. Makes sense. Oh, that’s right! I look forward to your audio narration! Good luck with it.
Another great story! We lost power for 14 days this past winter during one of those once-in-a-generation storms we keep having every year. We do have a generator and are long past the days of breastfeeding, but it sure was miserable not having much power.
Thanks, Jason! Oh man, fourteen days without power (or much of it) must have been brutal. Right? These powerhouse storms keep happening more frequently. We don’t have a generator here but need to invest in one soon!

Thank you for reading, Brian! 😀

I like stories that prove that people can still be human when they want to.
Thanks, Kim! Same here. I’m happy you enjoyed this one. 😀
